Residential Site in Herndon, VA
Utility Relocation
- Overhead Pole Line Relocation – coordinated with Dominion VA Power, Verizon and Cox to have existing poles relocated due to road widening.
- Fiber Optic Relocation – coordinated with Time Warner Telecom, MCI, and Verizon to have existing fiber optic systems relocated due to conflicts with proposed sports complex.
Columbia Gas Transmission Encroachment Coordination
- Coordinated with Columbia Gas for permission to cross existing gas transmission easement with proposed improvements including new road, utility duct banks and wet utilities.
Colonial Pipeline Encroachment Coordination
- Coordinated with Colonial Pipeline for permission to cross existing gas pipeline easement with proposed improvements including road widening, and underground fiber optic system.
Streetlights & Traffic Signals
- Coordinated with several contractors to obtain bids for the installation of the conduit required by each utility.
- Worked with contractor and civil engineer for the installation of conduit system to facilitate utility install.
- Coordination with Dominion VA Power, Verizon and Washington Gas construction departments for the installation of all utilities.
Traffic Signals
- Coordinated with Dominion VA Power engineer to design service to new traffic signals.
Mainline Services
- Completed utility layouts for Dominion VA Power, Verizon, Cox and Washington Gas to facilitate design process.
- Coordinated the design and install of all dry utility services to the onsite pumping station and Fire Station/condo building.
Installations
- Coordinated with several contractors to obtain bids for the installation of the conduit required by each utility.
- Worked with contractor for the installation of conduit system to facilitate utility install.
- Coordination with Dominion VA Power, Verizon, Cox and Washington Gas construction departments for the installation of all utilities.
Utility Relocation
- Coordinated with MCI/Verizon Business to relocate an underground fiber optic line that extended through the middle of the site.
- Coordinated with Dominion, Verizon and Cox to remove all old facilities onsite for new development.
- Coordinated with Dominion VA Power to relocate existing transformers, streetlights and manhole in conflict with road improvements.
Mainline Services
- Completed conceptual utility layouts including conduit and device locations for each utility to follow while completing their respective designs.
- Coordination with Dominion, Verizon, Cox and Washington Gas for service designs and easements required.
- Worked with adjacent landowner for additional easements needed to service the site with the utility mainlines.
Installations
- Coordinated with several contractors to obtain bids for the installation of the conduit required by each utility.
- Coordination of the installation of conduit system to facilitate utility install with contractor and civil engineer once site is ready.
- Coordination with Dominion, Verizon, Cox and Washington Gas construction departments for the installation of all utilities once site is ready.
Streetlights
- Coordination with Fairfax County for approval of “non-standard” lighting system
- Completed streetlight layouts and photometric studies for each section.
Sales and Construction Trailers
- Coordinated with Dominion and Verizon to provide temporary service to the trailer sites.
